☮.♥.✮ ☀..✈: Go Greek!
26 October, 2009

I really have this thing for Greek Food ─ this alone is enough reason for me to go visit and/or live in Greece. Whenever my friends and I are suffering from Greek cravings, we usually go to Sophia's in West Gate Alabang, Cyma in GB3, Cafe Med in Alabang Town Center, and Greek Taverna in Tagaytay, but this new place in G4 seems like a good option.

Last Sunday must be my lucky day. I discovered this new Greek place in Glorietta 4 before watching 500 Days of Summer. I was told that Go Greek! opened last 18-October. If you're a fan of Greek Food, you'd know that how pricey it can be, so Go Greek! did a wonderful job with their concept: it's delicious Greek Food that isn't highly priced.

Go Greek! has food that is the same as what you'd find in a fancy Greek restaurant. The food's fresh and the crew are very accommodating and warm. What I also like about them is that they know what they're selling.

When I'm at a Greek place, I always ask for Baba Ganoush ─ too bad, this isn't served at Go Greek! However, they have four dips on their menu: Hummous, Tzatsiki, the Feta Cheese Dip, and the Eggplant Dip .. forgot the Greek name. I was fortunate though that I was made to try all four dips. I ended up getting some Hummous so D and his sisters could also eat, it's a safe thing to get when you have teens who don't appreciate Greek Food. Served with one pita bread cut into four parts, the Hummous was reasonably priced at PHP60+.

And then, for less than PHP200, I had this yummy and juicy Pork Kebab that comes with salad and pita bread. Next time I eat here, I will try either their Gyro or the Seafood Kebab. They also serve Lamb Chops, but don't expect something as big as those in posh Greek restaurants. Lamb Kebab is also on their menu and if you're a person who loves rice, good news ─ you can upgrade your meal for their special rice. Go Greek! isn't fine dining, but if you need an instant fix, this is the place to go.Ü

I love Greek food and when I was in the Philippines I always visit Cyma. In fact when I was in Makati for like 2 days. I was always at Greenbelt dining at Cyma.

Greek fiid is good. The restaurants I've been to in Canada always serve tons of food. Not a good place to go if you are on a diet.

... oh my! You're missing a lot!Ö Greek Food is easy on the taste buds so it's easy to love and compared to other dishes, they have a lot of health-friendly stuff.

500 Days of Summer was good. It's not the typical super sappy love story. It's different. And this has to be the best movie I've seen this year, so far. Gotta wait for New Moon next month :)

OPA!Ü You can never go wrong with CYMA. That place ─ everything on their menu's just divine. I ♥ it too! It's one of my favorite restaurants.

Greek and Mediterranean Food are healthier options. You can be stuffed and enjoy a good meal without rice, right? I ♥ KOREAN & MEXICAN FOOD too! Ang creepy na naman nating dalawa ha. Hehe.

NINA.
Yup. Go eat at Go Greek! I reco the place. I'm sure it won't be a letdown.

I haven't been in Glorietta for such a long time! Seems like Go Greek's worth the heed. Muy mura! My mom worked in Greece back then, and she used to cook Moussaka. :)
