Ever had something that has been in your life so long you can't imagine what it's going to be like when it's gone? It's almost like missing an arm!
Most of you know that our house was robbed last last Friday. I didn't really mind losing my mobile phones. I am devastated that this stupid creep took my digital camera. I never leave the house without it - I find it a bit too tedious to bring a DSLR all the time so these little digicams really come in handy. The photos that I take are some of the most important things I own and they always remind me of how wonderful my family and friends are + what a beautiful gift it is to be alive + how lovely this earth is. My pictures show how I've improved through the years. So really .. I wonder where & how the robber is going to use the digital camera if it does not have a charger? He must have mistaken it to be another mobile phone. Tough luck.
This was the last photo that was taken before my digicam was stolen ...
3 nights before the robbery.
In one of my tweets yesterday, I said that it pays to have a brother who works in Canon. I am really thankful for that! I look forward to getting my new Canon baby SOON. I'm just waiting for my the price and the availability of the color that I want.

I immediately fell in love with the color orange,
but I don't mind getting a green or magenta or gray.

PS.
I would have gone to the BF Water Rally this morning, but opted to just go to the gym. Had I attended the Walk for Water Rally, I know I'd be heartbroken. To be there and to not capture a single moment is awful.

it's like life without cellphone for me...thank God for brothers=)
awwwts. that sucks! you know, back in my hs days, you know the uso pa noon is to have the precious pics inside your wallet. okay lang mawala ang wallet bsta ibalik pics. kaya nga kahit memory card man lang iniwan sana db. hayayay. at least ur gonna have a new one! i like canon... i'm gonna buy a new one cos my sony digicam is not that great pala.
aun... have fun always! better things will be given to u. ;)
STEPH.
I went through that phase too!Ü I don't remember losing my wallet when I was in Grade School & High School, but you're right - during those days, a wallet is valuable because of the precious photos in it.
I'm lucky that all my photos are in my computer. I change a memory card once its full. Lucky me lost only 1 memory card. Weee!
For me, CANON is a better brand compared to Sony. I've tried using a Sony cam. I didn't like it because battery life isn't too impressive.
"have fun always! better things will be given to u. ;)" → Aww. THANK YOU! I wish you good things too!Ü
hi russ...true, the flower part is the funny part. btw, i'm adding you in my threelittlefeats.blogspot.com...and yes, cams does became an integral part of our lives, its so nice to capture a moment...
JASSY.
It's amazing how mobile phones have become a huge part of our lives. Most people feel disconnected when they do not have their mobile phone(s) with them.
Aww. Trust me, I know how it feels to lose a camera. I lost my IXUS 960is T to a fire, and I have only had it with me for 6 mos. I haven't replaced it yet. I'm still deciding over the red IXUS 100is or the IXUS 990is. I like both. :)
AbBy.
No prob with me. I'll put ur blog up in my links too. Happy Sunday.Ü
KAITLIN.
Nice! I was actually choosing between an Ixus 95IS and the Ixus 100IS. The 100IS looks really sophisticated! I would also get a red one if I decided to for the 100IS. Canon cams are always a good buy - they have aesthetic value and you're always assured of quality.
Sayang naman. I'm sorry to hear about your camera.Ö
Thank u for leaving me a comment in my chatbox ♥
I did not know u had a blog untill i saw it at ur twitter account :)
Of course u can link me up,i have done the same so hope u won't mind it as well.
And to ur blog:
my camera was stolen like 2yrs ago and since i don't have money to buy a new one i can only use my phone for taking pics,(with 2.0 MP)so all my photos look lame >.<
But dad has a phone with 8.0 Mega Pixes so at times he allows me to use his, although it is only when he is present at the place where i am so obviously i can't borrow it for a night out with my girls nor anything like that,so i know the feeling of not being able to take photos whenever u feel like taking some :( sob
Thumbs up for ur brother :D
Hope u get ut new camera soon dearie *hug*
Great colors! Makes the cam look like a toy. I say have fun with it and go get the magenta.
The cams nowadays make my Ixus 60 so, sooo old! We've had it for 4-5 years now, and it still works fine. Though if I'd have it my way (and the budget too) I would have bought a new SLR.
LUCIA.
I'm still paying for the camera but I'd be getting it on easier terms - so that is better. I'm so excited .. can't wait!
RICO.
The one that was stolen from me was 4.5 years old. I've had it for a very long time. It was the first thing that I bought when I got my first job. Sayang. I didn't even plan to change it because it still looked more than okay.
Looks like I'm getting the magenta because my brother said that we'd have to order orange and wait for a month. I cant wait that long.Ü
Goodluck with the SLR. But if you have something that works perfectly right now, the SLR can wait. I have always believed that one doesn't need a super camera to take nice photos -- unless you're planning to shoot for a billboard. If you can't frame your subject properly & nicely and if you don't know how to get the right angle, a powerful camera is nothing. Right?Ü
that has got to suck. but at least you were not harmed.
Me, too. I always have camera on my purse wherever I go, even if it has to buy something from grocery. You will never know what you will get into. :)
How was your weekend? :)
HI I'M GRACE.
It's true that you don't know what you'll get into. Except for our loss against Ateneo yesterday, my weekend was okay.Ü
PRINSESA MUSANG.
That's one good way of looking at it and surely it's something to be thankful for.
i totally agree. i can't live without a camera in hand. plus internet and cellphone. :D

Hi Russ!! I like the green one, can you get me one... hehehe... joke!!
Mga friends ko laging may dalang cam kaya hindi na ko nagdadala eh, para kasama ako lagi sa picture... Pero nagbabalak na rin akong bummili ng sarili kong camera...
I feel you! It's good to be in this day and age where you don't have to go to the nearest photoshop and have the pics developed. Who would like to go back to a time where you'd only given 36 shots and had to wait for hours to have a roll of film processed? Boo-hoo. Imagine having a blog and pictures had to be processed that way again.
but you didn't lose any photos, did you ate? na-upload mo naman? :]
ABBIE.
Having the mobile phones stolen wasn't painful. Losing the camera made me heartbroken. I think I won't be depressed anymore is when it's been replaced.
AXEL.
I have friends who are like you, they no longer bring a camera because of friends who love taking photos! I like taking pictures but I make sure that I'm in the photos too. Hahaa. I'm really OC with my pictures so I'm lucky to have friends who also know photography -- I can be in the pics too & have right lighting, headroom, etc.
VAYIE.
♥ your comment! I know of people who prefer film over digital cameras, hehe. But I do get your point and I am on the same page! Digital Cameras have really made our picture lives easier.
WEDNESDAY.
I didn't really lose any photos. I was able to transfer the last batch of photos to my computer. But I did lose one SD cards with 800+ raw pics. I don't delete pics from the SD card kase. Yay.
Camera is one of the things in my wish list. So when my honey gave me one as Christmas present, it was a dream come true.

Ahahaha, thats right!!
Although I also like to take pictures mostly of the sceneries and not of myself... Most of my friends now are into photography, I've been thinking if I would pursue it as well because I want to take pictures of nice places... But the camera is too expensive for me... hehehe
why not post some of your pictures here... hehehe
Life without a camera is indeed sad. I love the green colour on that camera. I love compact cameras but I am not really impressed with the quality in order for me to use on schoolwork. So now I am buying a DSLR (for still photos) probably next week when school starts.
AXEL.
Go! I would encourage you to take up photography lessons. You can check with Philippine Center for Creative Imaging (PCCI). I know they offer photography courses - basic, advanced, etc.
CHARLES.
Yeah, I don't think professors would allow using a point-and-shoot camera. If am not mistaken, one needs an SLR or a DSLR to really understand the nitty gritty details of photography like ISO, F-Stop, Apperture, etc.
When I was taking classes, I do remember that we were not allowed to use point-and-shoot cameras.
Got a specific cam in mind that you want to get?
I am getting an Olympus e-520 or anything Olympus since my father-in-law and brother-in-law have Olympus DSLR cameras. It easier for me to borrow those expensive lenses from them or vice-versa.
I know ... That would be a really good move Charles.Ü These lenses are even more expensive than the camera -- definitely, it would be wise for you to an Olympus. Hope you get your new baby soon.
True. Anyway, got the camera today. I was in the store with Odd and just decided to buy it especially that their almost out of stock on that particular model.
CHARLES.
Whoa! That was fast! Hahaa. I'm sure you'll take lovely photos -- can't wait to see what great shots you'll have.Ü
wow! thanks for the info. I'll try to think about it...
By the way, we just got back from Tagaytay, Calaruega and Nasugbu for some photoshoot... I just used my point and shoot cam, while my friends have their DSLR... hehehe
