☮.♥.✮ ☀..✈: I'm Seeing Courage
25 April, 2009

Do you ever read someone's opinion on a subject you care about and feel a rise in your own desire to speak out? Perhaps you restrain yourself though, knowing that in our world it can be dangerous to speak your opinion. There are times when it actually is not right to voice it out, right? Someone will always disagree -- often violently -- with almost any position you take.

Blessings be upon those who accept the risks and still choose to speak and work for change. If you value the safety and peace of equilibrium and neutrality, you're probably not going to go into politics. It's a high-risk road for trying to serve your fellowmen. If you take that path, you soon understand that many who find fault don't know much about what's involved in effecting change within a system.

Dissent is healthy. Disagreement is inevitable. Criticism delivered without solid proposals for workable alternatives rings hollow. As daughters, friends, citizens of our communities, most of us are struggling to find the best ways to overcome our challenges. We do the best we can with what we have. As long as leaders invite discussion, listen to the people and try to gain consensus, they can trust that they, too, are doing their best. In the bigger scheme of things, INTENTION COUNTS FOR EVERYTHING. There some politicians who have started maximizing television and the internet as media. As early as now, they are already preparing big time for the 2010 Elections. I have to say this, ANG GALING! It IS actually working.

  • They have successfully created buzz thus the power of word-of-mouth. As we can see, people are talking about them. Yes, they are getting criticized, but so what? Let's not be bitter about this... let's face the fact that it's working for them.

  • Brand Recall. Brand Recognition. Being top of mind is the way to go. We do not know yet who's running against who, how many they are, yada yada yada, but one thing is for sure: these guys are getting a really good headstart. It is a competitive advantage for them. There's already a high level of unaided recollection of their names.
  • Here's one example. I'm still looking for the videos of Manny Villar and Jejomar Binay. I'm writing a separate entry for Binay's material.

It is not enough that you have done good in the past. It helps to have a good track record, but we want to know -- what can you do? Of course they will be running for the Presidency. Let them be. I don't think being President of the Philippines is an easy task; it takes a lot of courage to even want to be there. I'm sure these guys know what they're doing. I am not saying that I like their materials, but working this early tells me that they're serious. As I said earlier, intention counts for everything. One of them is destined for a higher position. And what that time comes, I hope this person will truly do his best to lead this country and its people... towards change and a better life.Ü

    DES & ACEY.
Same here. Binay's material was something that struck me more and I could vouch that the stuff that he was saying there are all true.

    JASSY.
Yup, we all know that's not his campaign material, but it's too hard sell.. could be better. And people will always know him as "Mr. Korina Sanchez"
