I was really bummed out yesterday when I called the Muntinlupa Office of the Philippine National Red Cross and I was told that they already had more than enough manpower for the day so I was elated and jumping for joy when I woke up just a while ago to a text message from them.Ü Thank you RED CROSS for giving me this opportunity to help and to give something back to society.

Greetings from Red Cross - Muntinlupa Branch! Thank you for your desire to volunteer and help the people affected by typhoon ONDOY. As of now, we are in need of willing VOLUNTEERS to help us in the REPACKING OF RELIEF GOODS at OUR RED CROSS OFFICE in Alabang Town Center, Muntinlupa City, right beside BPI New Alabang. Please confirm your availability.
I won't be able to visit your blogs today, I'm so sorry. Country first.Ü Hope everyone else is safe. Have a good day guys!

This is a really nice thing to do. Thanks for the info. I can't go back to QC to help my school... =\ At least I know that I can still help even though I'm here in Muntinlupa...

If not for school, I would have gone to Red Cross, too! The least that I could do is to spread the word and give something for the victims. Take care Russ! :)

I was kinda frustrated when I couldn't help out in packing relief good since I'm also affected by the onslaught of Ondoy, though I managed to send my donation online to PNRC with the help of a friend. =]

It's a good alternative if a.) you can't go outside, b.)you are too far and c.) you are outside the Philippines.

Of course, lots and lots of prayers will do the trick as well!

Thanks for visiting my blog. Nice to meet another math geeky type!! And you are a young, beautiful one too! I am sorry for your country right now. My BFF works for Red Cross here is USA. We just had a flood here in GA, unheard of. One entire school was submerged up to the roof! Thanks for volunteering. It will come back to you.

That's so nice Russ! I would do the same if I were there. We are looking for a charity organisations here that have bases in the Philippines so we can just work with them regarding the charity event we were planning after our autumn break.

i am proud of being a Filipino because of fellows like you who are most willing to rise to the call of the times.. Asking for prayers, letting people know how to help and giving time and effort is an extra mile in this unfortunate journey for us Filipinos.. as a nation, we shall overcome this..
